The ATP kit is garbage. Fitment, manifold, everything. That is what’s on the lockport car, at least somewhat. It’s been modified to accomidate for a C2 motorsports chip (injector size).

And yeah, I know exactly where you’re coming from on the VW euroswitch kinda shit. I don’t do that kinda stuff and I hate it too…but that’s life, and just as Hondas are known for rice, VWs are known for that crap. Who cares. I don’t drive a VW, anyways. But I see your point. I also don’t like kits either, I like DIY as well. But not everyone has the time to plan something out and learn all the aspects of this.

You can effectly piece together a kit cheap, but tuning is where your kit will fail. He has an 01, his best option would be standalone or an APR kit. For free and what he wants to accomplish, APR is fine. Standalone is too much for a 28R when he can go that route and run reliably.

:tup: darkkstar, you know your stuff. i agree with you, getting that setup free and using simple chip tunning is DEF. the route to go in his case. it would be nice if he could get his hands on the software though and learn how to tune with it like newman said, its not that hard even though its intimidating, beleive me.

thanks man. the APR chips are encrypted, otherwise i would help him edit it for higher boost if he wanted. but APR’s pride is in their software believe it or not. They write a good reliable program, it’s best left the way it is.

VW/Audi applications are a PITA, :tup: to you finally getting this kit. I think its one of the most reliable kits on the market. Maybe the maifold isnt perfect or optimal design, but made to last and resist cracking, overall the components of the kit working together make it better than what is available.
It was also free, not like he paid for it, morons :roll2:
Kit is made to improve performance while maintaining daily driveablility and quality, with good fitment and smooth driving. If he wants more he can always upgrade things. No big deal.
