4th gear woes.

I figured this would be a good place to put this:

Anyway I recently found out, after a short night of pushing my SR, that my 4th gear is fucked.

It’s like 1st - redline into 2nd
2nd - redline into 3rd
3rd - redline into 4th

and when I throw it into fourth and hit the gas, there’s no acceleration. Like the clutch is slipping, but it can’t be…like this is a pretty brand spanking new clutch.

WTF is wrong with it?

It’s almost like the shifter won’t sit in 4th properly at such a high rpm…because if I’m driving the car normally and shifting at a lower rpm, 4th is perfect.

Any ideas?

Check your speedo sensors near the tranny. :dunno:

Probabllly a good place to start. Electrical gremlins can do wonders.

you shouldnt need to shift at 7350 rpm with the t25 its just waisting time/gas

Obviously shifting at such a high rpm is useless due to the t25 peaking at like 5000. But it should still sit in the gear anyway.

EDIT: So where’s optimal for shifting.

probly a synchro, my car does the same thing from 1-2
