You really want to use that as an argument? Even you know that’s a stretch.
While yes there are some very high paying jobs in the city which are not bothered by the inflated prices, unless the minimum wage there is doubled and people get paid double for doing average jobs in the boroughs it still doesn’t cover universally expensive rent/real estate, bar prices and commodities such as cigarettes.
That’s like saying, tax in NY state is fine because we don’t get hit by recession as much and have a decent job market.
