Find the cleaners at fault. Make them pay $100 to replace the pants and then reward them with a counter suit for $500,000 for wasting their time and making this a bigger debacle than it needed to be.

I believe he’s representing himself. He’s only really wasting his own money at this point. The defendants probably filed a counter-claim for their expenses and I doubt the appeals court will even hear the case.
He is wasting the court’s time as well.
Not if the court doesn’t hear the case. You don’t automatically get an appeal just because you ask for one.
