Although I own a number of Nissans - I am here for my Datsun. I am driving today (December 20!!! - how great is that) my 72 240z. Power train is an BNR34 RB26DETT, stand alone (microTech Lt12S), upgraded turbos, injectors, downpipes, exhaust, etc… Full cage, big willwoods, and much more…
the car hasn’t been tracked yet - going to do some dyno tuning in January if the weather holds…
For those who asked here is a breakdown
BNR34 long block - new
N1 oil pump
n1 water pump
750cc injectors
oil cooler with large sump (7 litres)
intercooled
twin t3s modified with larger compressors and ported
hks dump pipes
3 inch exhaust - that is all that would fit - a pretend muffler on the end.
in cockipt adjustable boost controller
mirotech lt12S - sequential injection/firing wideband O2 - really like this unit
light flywheel with 4 puck cluth (i think this is the weak point)
RB25 GTS 5 speed tranny
R200 3.7 rear end LSD
300zx turbo half shafts - cv joints
larger stub axles
willwood utralites all around - vented 13" disks
full internal cage
coil overs
neopreyne bushings wherever I could put them…
once I get the final tunning completed I plan on being able to run 20lbs boost
guessing right now but that should equate to >500rwhp - how much more remains to be seen.
