I made up the upholstery yesterday afternoon, Checko and I should have it mounted to the pan permanently tonight or tomorrow.

Nice, did you MAKE that or order and install it?

@Onyx_Z32 nick stitched it up. I just attached it to the seat pan tonite. Also made some exhaust clamps and pc’d them gloss black, w/ SS hardware

Oh cool

Seat looks decent. Is that leather or vinyl? What type of machine are you sewing it with?

there is a lot of really cool custom stuff going on here.

Vinyl. Yea it came out alright. Idk what kind of machine Edsell used. Not bad for It only like his 2 or 3 seat he’s made. I would have liked the ends of the top pleats to be longer, so you don’t see the start stop. He said it wasn’t going to work with the machine he was using

Thanks dude

I used mahoneybags21’s mom’s haha. it was a “Shark Euro Pro 9110”, I guess she got it at target a few years ago and it was like $300. I was really impressed with the machine for that price point. The previous seat I made was an absolute pain in the ass using a bernina machine…which wouldn’t feed the 1/4" foam with the vinyl to make the tufts and I ended up having that part done by Transitowne Shoe Repair on the last seat. This Shark machine had zero issue with it. The seat isn’t perfect, but I’m happy with it overall for as checko said my 2nd attempt at one. I have to get more consistent and also have to figure out how to get a smoother seam where there’s three pieces coming together like at the very back of the seat where the top and two sides all are sewn together at the center of the rear hoop

we finally put in a bit of time on this again.

last night we finally got an exhaust clamp for the muffler, proper hardware for the rotor adapter and mounted that, balanced the wheels, rebuilt the forks, installed the chain guide we grabbed on ebay, and buttoned up the front end.

I think what’s left is mount the electronics tray, fill and bleed the front brake, double check all the bolts and such are tight, mount the seat (just resting on it right now), blast and powdercoat the gas cap, mount the petcock and run fuel lines, and then she can come off the table and do some test rides (once the snow melts to an acceptable level to try out the dual sport tires in lol)

The old Richard approves of the “Anger Street.”

I believe it was motocrossx23 that coined us “Anger Street Kustoms” back when we were tinkering on bikes in my garage at home…we are always swearing at shit as we’re wrenching and it became a joke that we’re just angry dudes that fix shit.

then this happened:

:tup::tup:

lmao

Old Richard really approves of the welder

Got the clutch bled and adjusted. Front brake as well. Took it for a test ride in the ice and snow, was a little sketchy. Has high idle. Checked the plugs a touch rich. Backed mixture screw out and it improved a bit. The PWKs have a 38 pilot jet, gonna go a size smaller. Haven’t touched needle jet, or sync’d the carbs yet. Still need to get some nicer hardware for random things. Also still have some small exhaust leaks at the clamps to take care of as well

I don’t understand it… Why does everyone hate seats?

Looking good!

Thanks!

everyone on a mc forum said 34mm flat slides were gonna be too big, and have a flat spot in the mid range… I say dialed! For a small Japanese twin, she’s money. Still no FI sport bike tho
