95 Jimmy wont start!

So I jumped into buying a 95 jimmy 4x4… everything was fine for the past month until last night. I go to start it up for work and it just keeps turning over. It caught for a second and sputter’d around 300rpm but just fell right back down.

It turns over fast enough to where I dont think its the battery. I can hear the fuel pump(which is only a year old) and the air filter is a month old. Didn’t get around to check for spark yet b/c I basically drained the battery down after trying to start it 6 times. I also shot some quick start in it, didn’t work.

Im heading outside now to hook it up to a friends car to charge the battery. Anyone have any tips or things to check? How can i test for spark by myself?(as in alone, I’ll be turning the key).

Thanks. F’it now. The guy that sold me the car gave me new wires. But they aren’t for this jimmy! I managed to pull off 2 wires, realize that I had the wrong ones… then lock the keys in the car. Im a winner, i know. AAA’s on the way to get the keys, while they’re here, Im tow’n this bitch to the dealer, I dont have the time to piss around with this f’n truck, its my only set of wheels at the moment.

Now I know why I gave up on the DSM, I hate shit like this.
