The usual GC gremlins apply to the 5.9 LTD. Check for viscous cplg failure, thats pretty common and expensive to repair. Crank the wheel and if you get tire scrub, knock $800 bucks off the price. Check for electrical gremlins, especially lighting and wipers. Trannys are a weak spot, but by 154K it has to have been replaced at least once. Also rear diiffs can be a weak spot, but usually will howl like a banshee so you will know right away if thats a problem. Oterwise, like Gearhead said, it’s a basic 360 Chrysler engine, pretty much bulletproof. They ARE pigs though…10-14 average. My brother had one a few years back and with a chip, intake and exhaust ran 14.4’s with it.

Ya, all jeeps are prone for rear dif failure. And i love those jeeps so much n it is a greeat deal but i don’t know if i could sell my GTP for a 4x4 jeep,the guy is calling me back later on for shits n giggles. I get the sam MPG as they do so that is no different,and as u said shit is expensive for those n hard to find. I will ask him about the tranny and so fourth as well.
