I have a suspicion that this rule comes about b/c of my promotion of a pcm tuning company in a recent thread… so, to all people this rule thoroughly pisses off, i apologize… i never saw a problem with what i was saying, but i’ll keep my trap shut from now on… My bad

I think whitey is trying to curb the actual buisness owners / employees from coming on and doing free advertising. Not someone that has used the buisness saying “hey i used XX company and they did great work on my exhaust” or “go to XX they did great work” or “Try XX’s site they have that kind of stuff”…
These pop up on a lot of sites trying to offset the costs of running a big site like this so they don;t have to start charging members for everything to keep it going. Only issue I ever saw was with guys who had signatures of their car with their sponsor’s name in it if they were sponsored. I have mixed feelings about the rule applying to somthing like that, but its not my site…

Now you’ve spoiled his true income generating plan from the imbedded virus in that Word document to steal people’s personal information for his own use 
But seriously, the advertising rates look to be quite reasonable even if only a couple customers are generated from it and the demographic info is kind of interesting to just the general consumer in addtion to a prospective advertiser. I can see where this new rule may be met with some hesitation or even hostility as it is slightly reminiscent of some of the growing rules that helped to kill PSR.
that’s looking good guys… i like the demographic info and site stats… it would really amke sense for a local pittsburgh company to have a banner on this site… there are tons and tons of people that check the site daily but don’t post as much!
