I keep hearing these stories of people making 100K + that are now out of work. They make it sound like they are living on the streets now. These people do save/invest money right?

i thought the same thing. i was part time when i got laid off and i get almost that a week.

it has to be. most states are not as generous as NYS is with unemployment.

i would too in his case. I’d rather sleep in than work a shitty job. All I would need is a 25k nest egg and i could make enough money to live on day trading in a robe, drinking during the daytime, and living like The Dude from big lebowski.

I think I could already live at least 1 year with no income from now on, and that isn’t even getting desperate…selling my cars etc.

If I made 100K I would never go back to making $10 an hour. Ever.
