^ This is right. The garage owner has to make every reasonable effort to contact the owner of the belongings before he can sell or dispose of the property. However, with you being gone and out of the country, he may have actually done that.

Sky, you need legal advice and I cant give you that. As you know, by that time your ex’s b/f had stopped paying -disappeared, I had left that shop permanently. At that time, all your stuff was still there. Anything after that I cant comment on because I simply was not there.
If you want my opinion on the matter, cut your loses. What you paid for that stuff doesn’t mean shit. Its REPLACEMENT value that is relevant. Even though you paid $7500 some time ago, to replace your motor set and tool box TODAY would be no more then $4500 - $5000. Your legal fees would surely exceed your winnings assuming you won the case. Sorry - just being honest 
There are a lot of people/shops out there that would have gotten rid of that car or cut it in half if you stopped paying rent for what ever reason. On the bright side, you have an amazingly beautiful 510 rolling chassis intact and undamaged in your possession. Correct? The engine and tool box are replaceable any day of the week - the 510 is not.

we spoke and he agreed return all of me belongings after i paid the balance which i did.
you js retold me everything george has said to my friend who went by the shop so im sure george knows whats going on.

george has until tonight to give my friend a call and pay for the damages or replace them.
before i make my police report and have my lawyer speak to him.
its not about the money its the fact that george thinks he can do what he wants and he lied scammed me to get me to pay him.
im sorry conky your a cool guy and all but you will be invovled in the police report as you were who brought me to this shop organization that george has going on there. sorry for the hassle.

The deal was he returned ALL OF MY BELONGINGS once balance was paid for not just my chassis either way whats done is done its up to him if he wants to be a man about it and settle it now and here or i take legal action.
What you can do it have the lawyer “reverse the cost” so that he has to pay all or at least a portion of your legal fees.
Based on everything you have said i can see you easily winning and getting him to cover the lawyer fees.
