Aeroquip - fittings and hose

yeah razorblade time. I dont have JoeJiggs or Slowmarro hands, so I find myself cutting slices in rad hoses and crap all the time, especially when they glue themselves to the plastic fittings.

I should get a -8 hose end and some tubing, put it together and see if i can hang off it from the rafter or somthing at the shop. lol

I guarantee that you could hang off a single -8 ‘rope’ of AQP. The hose would stretch/break before the fitting let go.

Don’t use a razor blade to slice the hose of a pushlock. You scratch the barb surface and it can create a leak zone. Use dikes and side cut the hose up close to the side of the barb. It will relieve the hose and allow it to stretch over the barbs.

Agreed, and if I scratch the barb, I just touch it lightly with a file. Zero issues, ever.

Again, agreed. Was just using 1/2" to be safe.
