even better idea.

Plate and 3-4 bolts that hold on a splin’d wheel bearing assembly, send a 930 stub axle through it, attach axle nut. Done. Get matching disk brake rotor slide it over studs, attach wheel. Caliper bracket is integrated into the 3-4 bolt flange for the bearing assembly.

A lot less precision machine work involved. Hell the flange plate could be identical left to right and have 2 bolts holes that mount up to the original backing plate that’s already on the axle. Bolt the flanges on. Weld the seam, cut out the center hole where the CV would go through and you’re done. Perfectly aligned, toed and cambered. Damn close to the right track width too depending on wheel bearing assembly thickness. The wheel bearings can be bought from NAPA. Rumor has it the 930 spline stub axle is the same as an S10 4x4 front 89+ wheel bearing!

ASS.

That exact thread has been quoted a couple times. Good info and parts that may end up on yht kkkar

My badd yoooo

Must be a machined plate with a bore register machined a few thousandths larger than the hubcentric on the wheel bearing housing. The bolts that secure that type of bearing must not support the load of the car, the register must do that. The bolts only hold the bearing TO the plate.

Also I buy most stub axles form here:

All good kid

Well fire up that mill then.

what do you need from me to make the 2 plates?

Do werk. I wanna see jetta pullin wheelies!

siiiiiiiiiiiiick. i like where this thread is going.

found my 930 stub axle, and wheel bearing! GOOGLE WARRIOR AINT GOT SHIT ON ME! lol

33 Spline 1.490” dia shaft 930 Microstub axle

Matching wheel bearing assembly is a Timken 512029 wheel bearing… from a dodge intrepid, 300M, Concord or LHS, and I guess full sized chevys too! $50 new from napa! The intrepid ones are 5X4.5 lug too, easy to find wheels for later on.

where as all the “sand rail” parts places charge $150+ for them! no thanks! http://www.mooreparts.com/store/product/7417/AC501920-HUB/

So I will order some new chromoly 930 stub axles for $240 a pr, $100 for bearings at napa.

now I have to look for a rear rotor for a 4X4.5 that’s lightweight and 10.5" or so, then get a caliper to make a template for Adam to cut the flanges out for me.

i dunno wtf you’re saying but if you need the King of CLs help just holla.

Rustang rotorz should work fine, y0.

brakes:

Brembo stock replacement 27111 $53.00 or napa specials for mustang gt rear 10.5"

Rear replacement caliper for 2004 mustang rear: $60 ea.

That just about wraps up the parts needed!

Cant someone isnt on MS Communicator :banghead

Lets dance… its called the V-Dub 2 step:

Its really easy… Place right foot in front of left. Stop. Turn around 180 deg. Then take 2 steps backwards.

I got the quattro diff mounted TITS in the car, and then started on mounting the hub plate I machined and started making the trailing arm, then sat back and looked and thought, and looked some more, then thought some more… then busted out the plasmacutter.

change in plans, again. narrowed 8.8, 31 spline, spool, ladder bar and triangulated upper and simple coilovers over axle.

Just wondering… Why don’t you haldex swap the car?

dis guy!

LOL I know right, all that stuff I said yesterday is void huh!

My new excuse is I wish I bought a domestic! lol

No I’m srs… Any reason why not haldex swap??
