Albany Speed Shop / Krazy Kid Kustoms 2004 Jetta Track Car

lol thing needs a 5:36 rear gear and fucking 6000rpm stall. :rofl :rofl i can’t believe you went for the glide you animal.

Nahhh, only like a 4200 lockup I am thinking.

yo let me get some of this rock youre hitting!

mike please put some classic flames on this 55 chevy you are building out of a vw jetta!

LOL. I was thinking scallops down the side! lol

Sell glide. Buy TH-400 or 4L80E

fuck that extra 40lbs and more shifts.

these things work on 4 bangers. 4g63’s and other import pros are using them. this is all uncharted waters here for the 1.8Turd. Im just gunna roll with it and see what happens.

never the less, PG, TH, or what ever… what about the converter? What are your thoughts on that because of the lack of tq until 5500rpm?

Sell 1.8t, purchase junkyard 5.3?

5000+ stall, y0

noooo. I make 277HP per liter, while your dumpers 150 per liter with a turbo on them. 1.8T’s never loose.

for my reference.

I have been looking all over for other 4 cylinder drag auto rwd projects. the 4G63 guys have 2 solutions I found already, this Bill guy here and Petes scrotum swinging clan. they have many glides and th350’s working great. even the 200R4’s are fun for a street car but need more to hold power.

you don’t need a converter with that motor trans, you need a snowmobile clutch :rofl :rofl :rofl

Networking is key. I have a few e-mails flying between Bill and myself. let see where this goes.

ROFL! just about what the glide will be like when its go time!

hey you vw buddies… is it true the 1.9L tdi is the same bellhousing pattern as the 1.8T, and 2.0?

Yes.

got any info to back up that claim? :tongue

Pete or Brett, I know you both doing clutch and flywheels soon on the tdi’s, can you confirm also the TDI crank bolt pattern is the same as the 1.8T?

It’s the same pattern because you use g60 flywheels on both 1.8t and tdi’s

thx pete!

thats good then I have all the measurements I need to make the adapter, minus the spacing between the flex plate face and the transmission, which I will measure here off the chevy smallblock and the glide.

Wtf mike… wtf

yes. same 02J case.

:rofl told ya I was serious!

Dear Mike,

You are out of control.
