And you guys thought it should be lower....

So a week or 2 ago I posted a started a thread titled “opinions?” ( http://www.son240sx.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20674 ) where I posted some photos asking for some opinions on ride height, etc.

Most people told me to lower it even though I was already rubbing and hitting my swaybar on speedbumps, etc etc.

So, I raised it up 0.5" today and noticed this for the first time:

okaay… so that’s NOT good… at all… damn… wow…

Man my car… hits this one elevation/declination of road from whree I live to the road… (front bumper) and if I ever lowered it, it would be hitting even more  grr… but I guess you REALLY lowered it… that the tyres are scraping, that’s even worse…

my head hurts

size of the tires?

outer edge of the front tire? chopping them on the inner fender well clips, on the fender?

my head hurts[/quote]

wow…

and roll ur fenders

GT

Why must the government build crappy roads  why must thye hire italian contractors who just keep patching roads up and maintain their suckiness, why don’t they build everything right

if u want stuff built right it will come out of our pockets, and dont we already pay enuff taxes?

gtfu

tires are 235 on 8.5" rims, +22 offset. they’re pretty tight.

yeah, I’ll roll 'em greg. rolled the rears and was too lazy to do the fronts since i had to take off the fender liners, etc… soon!

Thats the thing init? Where DOES our money go?

what does this have to do with my tires?

relax… just general scrapping crap talk… sorry man, relax :-/ I hate scrapping the car… I feel you… just heart-felt pain yo…

instead of blaming it on italians, stop driving like the dukes of hazard and your car shouldnt scrape at stock ride height, and can you learn how to type/spell in proper english, your posts need a fuckin interepreter to decipher

Jammin’s car from the rear is just one bad mother <shut your mouth>.

Following him on the highway, the thing just looks like serious business.

Can’t wait till his underhood is talking serious business

John, why only .5" Shoulda just done 1".

Nope, I’m just saying they hire contractors who just patch up roads constantly, it’s a fact of life in Canada :stuck_out_tongue: Usually Italian or croatian constructoin workers, how do I know, well I know them lol…

Back in Germany and North Africa (where roads were built by Germans) the things were built once and built to last… here things are not really built to last… and just constantly patched up.

Anyways sorry man, I was just sharing a lil heart-felt pain on scraping of a car… sheesh… go on carry on…

Our lumpy potholed roads are a result of the climate…not the race of the workers who built them. Our constant shifting weather makes it impossible for our roads to stay in good shape in the winter season. The freezing and thawing of the ground is what breaks up the asphalt. If you ever find yourself driving in Arizona or Vegas (constant climates) you’ll find that the roads are akin to driving on glass!

Please don’t insult other people’s ethnicity with uneducated comments. I realize you just got your 240 and you’re excited, but please don’t feel the need to respond to every single post with off topic nonsense.

Hey I have some italian blood no offense lol, but alright heh, whatever you wana interpret that as. Europe’s weather isn’t t too different… plus north africa’s weather is even worse with 50 celsius weather at times. The difference is that they are built to last. The roads just suck because they suck and are constantly patched up, built with cheap materials to begin with… the idea that the gov cheaps out, and everything is built in quantity rather than quality.

Anyways whatever, exits thread

is that the inside of the tire? did you hammer flat that metal ridge on the inner fender?

i still dont know what this has to do with my tires

I remember when my wheels did that :hsugh:
