What do you guys think? In general, will that look pretty good for a daily stance, once I get enough cash to do an air suspension? Im thinking fully down when parked and then go up(depending on the situation) to get into driveways and stuff like that. I’m just trying to gather some opinions of car height for rolling around in it normally.
for driving it? haha, i wont be gettin anywhere in any reasonable amounts of time if its much lower than that. im thinkin’ thats good height for simply rolling around, then up a bit at night and to get to places that are lumpy. parked though, it’d be completely down.
mostly between clifton park and albany. i think if i drive careful ill be ok like that. definitely goin up for night time, unless im slowly coming into a parking lot though. itll keep me from speeding too.
that looks about good for driving and such, obviously the air will allow you to go up if you need to get in any sort of incline/decline, but for a “static” height while riding that looks about good… when parked, i go dumped as hell, until it wont let you go lower hahaha
if you have air just drive around as low as possible, something is in the way in the road, raise it up for that. lay it on the ground when it’s parked. just don’t drive around as high as possible cause that looks retrarded.
yup, thats exactly my plan. i dont need to adjust damping on it EVER. It needs to go up and down to clear lumps, bumps and dips and holes. I can go nice and low for daily driving, lay it out completely when parked. It would look sexy tucking the rim, as well. for “lots of snow” mode i can push it up, get into a persons driveway sitting with 4x4 status and go back down. i dont want to plow roads with my bumper, i did enough of that with my mitsu on my street and in my driveway. for what i’d like it to do and still stay 100% practical and drivable, air makes the most sense to me.
how wide do you think they should be? what would you suggest? I cant really stagger them on a quattro, they dont seem to like that very much. I wouldnt mind 19x12’s, but i’d have to pull my fenders WAY out(more than the V8 fenders), i’d have to get them sliced, stretched, rolled out even then get the little triangle pieces of metal welded into the opening, reroll them smooth, ground down, and all the body work afterwards. it’d cost like 5 grand for just that, plus i dont want to mess with the factory paint.
18x8 +38 on these. I think with some spacers, i can bring them right up to the edge of the inside of the fenders, so when the car goes all the way down for parking, they’ll be like 1-2mm from touching the fender’s inside. Im not sure how much they will lean inward, so I think ill need to bag it first, then measure for spacers.
