Well i cant speak for Mike but I hate you. So if all parties agree. You tune this car with your lab top and your skills with no help from other people. Do the best you can do and lets make an appointment with mike. slap it on the rollers, dyno with your tune. Have mike work his magic, re dyno and compare numbers, driveability etc. I fully support New Era and Mikes success. Same day, same weather, same fuel and same dyno. Your tune vs Mikes.

We can make it a forum call. Let the people vote. Either you or New Era. We can post dyno graphs, tune, and videos.

If you out perform Mike then ill pay for the dyno time. If Mike wins you leave the wny online car scene for good. no more forums, no more posts, no more threads, and give wnyfbody to jt76 or whoever wants it.

I hate when JnJ or anyone postes “OMG XXXX SUCKS WE PICKED UP 5HP EVERYWHERE” sweet anyone can lean something out or throw more timing to pick up more power at the expense of reliability.

The truth is Chuck did 95% of the the tuning for JnJ Speed Shop anyways not sure why JnJ is even chiming in on anything tuning related.

He was claiming an LS1 wouldn’t work with a 2.5 bar MAP and would jack everything up and other random nonsense.

The best part of this entire thread is JnJ posted ‘Oh I have the base tune ready’ yet JT was sitting forever with out a base tune and was having Shawn and other people work to get a tune on it…

power is important. but so is reliability, driveability, safety…etc. I know you can gain 2-5 hp with the placement of the fan or leaning out the fp by half a pound. thats not the point. When a car is tuned its TUNED. start, idle, cruise, wot, etc… when comparing power, you have to base the performance on the whole graph including the max numbers.

thats why i made my statement clear- HIS tune vs the guy i think is the best around. If i was paying for a tune on a multiple thousand dollar investment, I would want the best.

76 woulda had two tunes, dyno time and a popular car. oh well. I hope his car comes out swinging and when i turbo a ls motor, like a vette, ill be looking at build threads like his.

Car looks good… imo don’t let anyone questionable touch it. Too much time and money tied up in a build like this to have someone blow it up and then blame you/your install/your parts for it when the motor lets go.

I want to fall somewhere in the 7XX-800 range when all is said and done. Ultimately the size of the turbo is going to be the limiting factor. I wanted something that has insta-spool for a fun street car. Some guys are coaxing mid 800’s to 900 on this turbo but that is 20 psi race gas etc. My waste gate is at 11psi, that should get me into the 6XX area on 93 pump. Probably where it will be most of the time :slight_smile:

600 on pump will be plenty to crush a lot of fast cars around here.

A guy stuffed my old 408 into a C6 with twins and just made 874wheel on 93…i was jelly

All JNJ bullshit aside, the car should be plenty fast with that 76. I should have kept the single 76 instead of buying another one for twins, I went 9.30@151 with the single, and it had more it it.

Do you have anything done to the suspension to handle the power?

Can’t wait to see/hear the results once you get this thing done man, great work as always.
