Well had an accident today, and frankly they’ll blame me for it…
Was turning left, slipped on the whee sol she went right, so i correct, and bam… i get smoked by a cab… Car is rough shape… suspension is shot and i dont wanna know what else is wrong… The cab looked like he was trying to pass me on the left… on a one way?
Well anyways here the pics, and i’m seriously thinking of quitting the car club and any work to this car… or any car…
Hey man. Sorry to hear about the accident. It doesnt look that bad ?! But dont give up so quick. Everybody gets into accident in their lives. Shit happens man. If you are not financially stable, still stick around, stay involved with the scene. Time will go by fast and you’ll be back on the road before you know it.
Either way, stick around the club! You won’t gain anything by quitting! Don’t forget, everyone has stretches of bad luck…but eventually everything will work itself out.
Besides, if you quit the club, who is going to sweat in my brand new helmet? :E
Well, i guess it is too bad… but i’m still pissed… I doubt i’ll have the car fixed by the 30th, and they probably wont let me race with a smashed car… so i guess i’m out on track day… Thats why i’m pissed…
Its just that the 2nd accident in this car… so i’m steamed …
Oh well maybe i can convince the insurance company to get me a whole new paint job…
And i cant even take care of getting anything done till tues… The best part is where my door doesnt close properly… it sounds like the windows open, and i cant tell you how much more i hate ricer can exhaust and desiels…
tomorrow i finally get to go and work out quotes and get the insurance rolling on it…
The cab is trying to say i U turned (Nissans cant U turn… without burning tires…) but meh my aunt whose an adjuster says it couldnt be a u turn simple because of the damage…
Yeah, that’s pretty obvious that it wasn’t a U-turn. It is scrape damage. If you’d been hit in a u-turn the whole side of the car would be caved in and you could have been seriously hurt.
This is why insurance people aren’t accident reconstructionists.

However its not too much damage, 3600 or so, but thats a new door, fender and all its need parts AND repairs to the frame and by a company i trust not to shabby… especially if it only jumped my insurance by 160 a year (if they manage to blame me! heh) so yeah not all is lost but it was a lot of shit at once.
So i’ll see all you guys that are going to the 30th event and be racing on the May event, so not all is lost…
funny guy, well sounds good then, not to bad of a cost for the repair, i am gonna try and come out as a bystandard, never raced like that before just wanna see what its all about
Its funny, a friend of mine said it would probably be written off (which if fucking stupid because it’s still drivable and it has sentimental value i cannot price… yes i do love my car…) which had me up in arms… well since they’re looking at the photos right now i dont think they can…
Finally found a Shop that will fight for me with the insurance peoples (mainly on the topic of getting new parts, insurance want replacements but i dont like or trust them) Doug’s Place Too has my thumbs up so far, they’re no bullshit, will fight for you and your car, and accually understand what i need… and compaired to the “recommended” shop by my insurance (which i dont trust or like…) are only $7.11 more!
I’m just gald i found a shop that saw the car for its value and was willing to help me, especially when he said we dont do cars later than 1995 because of rust, i told him what car it was, he looked at it (it was dirty… ) and said he could do it…
