Dude, just because you’re a CJ major…doesn’t mean jack shit. First off you’re talking about NY state Penal codes and certain departments
“Justifiable Force” policies…not Florida’s.

Actually its not. It would be NYS vehicle and traffic law.
Reason number 10932487812359801265098124 not to disobey a Police Officer. No harm no foul, they even dropped the charges. Get over it and learn to drive the speed the limit and not run from the cops :bloated:
would the charges against her have been dropped if it was found that her father didn’t really have a heart attack? probably not. my point: there was no way for the officer to know whether or not she was telling the truth at the time of the incident. i’m not condoning throwing her around, but people give police bullshit excuses all the time to get out of tickets. i’m sure a few of us on here have come up with several gems

Wow, people are just catching on, you should see how many people just look down here, I don’t mean snowbirds, I mean people that actually live and grew up here, jesus they just look dumb
She was wrong for speeding and then wrong for running away from the cop. The cop was a little rough on her but it is not like he hit her with anything.
If he did know for sure that her father was in the hospital and gave her an escort, if she got in an accident he would be liable. As pointed out before what was she in a hurry for? To sit and wait?
If i was her, I’d say what she said, but also say "please follow me to the hospital, and write the ticket there. I know I was wrong… yadda yadda. Honestly, and sadly, there is no excuse for speeding according to the law. Regardless of what happened.
The excessive force is the ONLY thing that shouldn’t have happened.
In a 10 mile trip down side streets, estimated, you will save only 1 minute by doubling the speed limit. You will lose more time in a parking lot finding a space than is saved with the excessive speed. She was wrong.
It’s wrong of her to be speeding…but the officer should have escorted her right away…then after the fact givien a warning.
If i was that women…I would have elbowed the cop in the nose then knocked him out with a swift punch to the side of the head. then spit on him and left.

The lady did not DRIVE OFF… she drove into the fucking hospital parking lot which was RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER. Dumbasses.
If my family member had a heart attack you can bet the farm that I would be going way the fuck faster then 35. I will put money on the fact that most of the hypoctrites replying to this thread would be doing the same thing.
I wouldnt risk the person DYING without me by their side over a FUCKING speeding ticket. What a joke.

She pulled over, cop came to window and got her info. While he was processing her shit, she drove off. I dont care if it was 30miles or 20ft. She drove off, plan and simple.

as soon as she started moving, she was in more trouble.
he has no way of actually knowing that she is telling the truth.
if shs is going to get the ticket anyway, what does it really matter if she gets it in the street or the parking lot.
what are the rules for police escorts anyway… jane public should most likely
not be allowed to drive fast on public roads. police are allegedly trained to do so.
most people probably would speed to get to a hospital in an emergency…
that does not matter or make it ok.
Oh please give me your great wisdom and tell me how i am wrong. Or is this going to be like your great insight into the Vtech killer? :bloated:
Just because she had a personal crisis doesn’t mean she can break the law. What if she hit and killed someone? Would it have been ok since she was rushing to see her dad in the hospital?
Oh and i have had to rush to the hospital to see a dying family member before. At most i did like 10 over because im not a retard like that lady.
