A bike has nothing to do with rider error, or the level of invincibility most riders on street bikes put in their minds. That’s why so few wear gear it’s to hot, they don’t need it. IMO the MSF doesn’t teach enough & lets people pass to easy. They leave thinking they know all there is to know about riding a bike once they get their license.

The thought of going to riding school or reading books on how to improve their skills does not pass 90% of riders minds. The only thing most care to learn is “How to Wheelie, How to do a Stopie or a burnout.”

A 250 should be a starting point for most riders, but few people take motorcycles seriously & just want a bike to look cool & be fast.
