Yea… inclement weather on those is sketchy at best… lol,
I will probably go with BFG’s… asked about nittos in my orig post because i wanted to get others experiences with them, mine are pretty much shot and my one friend had them on his mach 1 and they wernt very good, Although i have heard of people having luck with them.
If you have a rear in the car then go with mickey thompson drs. Nothing better than that for grip on the street. Hell, people are running 8’s with them at the track. Only issue with them is that you wont get as many miles out them as you would with some nittos.
I hate nittos with extreme passion. rock hard.
Ok well my f-body na makes 431.7rwhp and i have owned mickey dr’s, nitto dr’s, et streets, and bfg dr’s as street duty tires so i guess i should share some input.
Nitto’s-It seems we all agree they suck balls
Et Street’s-Everytime i would push it hard i would feel like i was going to crash so…NO
BFG’s-Great tire i have them on the car right now. I CAN hook from a slow roll in first with them NA M-6 4.10 gear. Have 3k miles and look about half worn. Cant hook from a stop.
ET DR’s-Could hook pretty good from a stop with them. I could also hit a 150 shot with a slow roll in first and it wouldnt blow them off but it wasnt planted either. They hooked the best. They lasted 3k miles and were toast.
I daily drive this car in Seattle. All of them saw rain and i had no real issues in the rain with any of them. I am overall most impressed with the BFG’s for sure.
