I like the bar-stool transmission paint stand

had to make some more room…

Nice

 nice work with the snips. I would have thought those would deform the hood. Looks PERFECT.

I also like the stool paint stand. Good idea.

i see what you did there. i like.

I used to work in a sheet metal shop. I can be pretty handy with a pair of tin snips.

Fuck yeah fat girl!

wow that looks like a tight fit, looks good, any concern with motor movement? or is it solid motor mounts?

I have such a soft spot for these Z’s, nice work so far.

Damn you got that cut close!

the motor mounts aren’t solid, but i’m fairly certain that I have plenty of room side to side on the hole that there won’t be any interference. if there is, I’ll trim some more.

I had to get a set of 3/8" header flanges and 2 sets of header gaskets to push the headers a little further out so I could clear the angle plugs that the heads have…

the t5 and t56 slave cylinders both use a quick connect fitting for the factory hydraulic line. I’m not using the factory line, but I was able to find an adapter fitting that goes to a -3AN line, same size as my Wilwood master cylinder. It was not a cheap fitting though.

another thing I came across, t56 slave cylinders have no bleeder valve, t5 slaves do. so I went with the t5 slave, it was cheaper too!

looking GREAT!

:tup::tup::tup::tup: Rear valance is a nice touch. Well done.

just a pic of what it looked like before I started…

just looked at this thread, nice progress. i cant believe how easy it is to run exhaust in that car. should get it on a dyno and see how much of that power makes it to the rear wheels, my guess is itll be low 200’s.

where did you get the adapter fittings for the clutch line? speedways the cheapest place that ive found them

lol It’s definitely going to make more than low 200’s at the rear wheels. I just ordered the adapter fitting from a seller on ebay. fastest and easiest way i could find it.

more progress…
had my clutch line made, got some AN fittings, plumbed the fuel line, and the clutch line. I’m having a wee bit of trouble getting the clutch completely bled out. but I’m working on it.
