My co worker used to work at the border partol as a summer job during college, it was pre 9/11.

If you take the test it take 6-9 months to hire I hear. I am at 4 months and I havent actually talked to anyone from there yet, just paperwork and drug/physical stuff.
They will defer deployment (or whatever its called) to graduate. Up to 9 months I think. A few people asked that at the test.
