long story short, bought a laptop for 600 bux (super cheap down from 1000) and the salesman told me the deal was 18 months interest free even though they were going out of business
turns out that it wasnt 18 months! it was only till may 11th, and i was just charged 68$ interest for last month (22.49% APR up from 0 with a credit score of over 700),
prolli should of read the fine print :spank:
payin off the rest of the balance this week (600$) to avoid next months charges UGH, also filed a complaint with the BBB against chase bank even though its my bad
that’s why I could never work at a retail store like that. “hi I don’t read anything and your part time employeee told me 18 months no interest. but what I’m trying to say is he could have told me 15 yrs no interest but I’m too lazy to read fine print when I’m signing up for a CREDIT CARD so I didn’t make a single payment and now I’m charged $68. circuit city totally fucked me”
i have customers try this bullshit with me all the time about so and so employee told me I could do 2 coats of stain on my deck. oh really? did you miss the part that it says 3 times on the can, one coat transparent deck coating? gtfo.
I bought my TV there a few years back, there was 12 months same as cash on it, and I had no issues with it at all. It was just as it sounded, I paid for it month 10 or something, but all along it had all the details right on the statements. :gotme:
i thought it was zero interest as long as you made the minimal payment monthly and presuming you paid it off before the 18 months was over, if you went into month 19 then you would be hit with all the interest even if you were making minimal payments
filing a complaint with the BBB is a joke. It does nothing. I’m surprised chase didnt do anything for you. They’ve always been decent to me. I got screwed by citizens and AMX through this “economic crisis”.
