anyone ever run one of these..

…so handling boost with a MBC and wanting to keep an eye on boost pressure on the s2000 i have come across this as my first choice in a boost gauge.

anyone ever run one of these? i installed one in a rear view mirror of a 335 and the visibility was great and it was VERY accurate. anyone have any personal experience with these in the long run? is the dig. display harder to look at or read at speed?

would glancing at a needle be easier that trying to catch a quick flashing of a dig.#?

if you already installed one in a rear view of a 335… why are you asking us about it?

cause i test drove it for like 10 min. and havent spent more than 10 min. looking at one.

lol just build a granger valve

sooo ask the fool that you installed it into…

he probably quit that job.

true story…

also digital guages SUCK for trying to keep an eye on peak boost

get a digital autometer boost guage with peak and warning capability

I had one of those on my speed6. Install was easy and it worked. But there was a little delay < 1 second but noticeable. And the frequency of the updated values weren’t more then 1-2 per second which was a little choppy. I wouldn’t use one again.

I have that for sale, $50. Its a good simple boost gauge.

That’s what I bought, and sold mine for. Good price imo.

I think I bought it from you. (i thought it was for $75) but anyway, I fixed my nordskog sender and no longer need it.

lol. so it sounds like this isnt the best choice.

I have one. Died on me 2-3 weeks after install. had to be returned and repaired.

Thing I hate most is that it does not read VAC accurate. It reads some vac up to like 11 or something but thats it. I know it’s a boost gauge, but still pisses me off. They really didnt seem to care either when I asked them why it does not read vac correctly. " its for boost not vac, why do you want to know vac anyways" was the response from them :banghead:

Buy something else IMHO. Its overpriced for what it is.

I prefer needle gauges.

I rocked a defi 52mm…

I had an AVCR that was nice for recording peaks, but its way easier keeping an eye on a needle gauge vs a digi.

this is a nice one…small…not a POS…

thats what ive been reading.

HAS ANYONE EVER USED AN AEM tru-boost gauge-type controller(EBC)?

I have a tru-boost, very nice piece. The lights around the outside…the picture on the box is deceiving: they don’t all light up, only one light lights up at a time and it moves around…if you get what I mean.

Two boost settings, auto-shut off after a certain point, doesn’t set itself by boost but rather by duty cycle so it takes a bit of tinkering to get it to a certain point.

You have two extra wires left over from a bare min. setup: one is for a warning light I believe, the other to connect to a tuning device…don’t hold me to that though.

I’d say more but I got a final atm. Overall I’m happy with it and would buy it again if this one spontaneously combusted or something.

sweet thanks! i think this is what im going to go with.

Good choice
