that sounds like a good deal

I paid $800 each time I shipped my car (from CA->PA and PA->CA). It was an open trailer, but fully insured. $500 sounds about right for the shorter trip. Just beware, it’s almost never a damage free affair. On the way to PA they put a big hole in my Y-pipe and a few random scratches. On the way back they scraped the lower front facia pretty bad (not visible unless you’re on the ground, but still annoying). Both time I was not in the state yet when the car arrived and had a friend/family recieve the car. It was the only way I could arrange it, but it is NOT a good plan. Because I didn’t look over the car and find the damage I got jack-nothing.
