best way or cheapest way?
personally for anything big like that i take it to the ups store and pay them to package it and ship it out, i do it like that so if anything gets broken/damaged they are held 100% liable because they packaged it and can not blame it on poor packaging
always remember to insure it for full value also
i had mine sent to my old work but that was a car motor … maybe ups would be cheaper to box up and send
lol ups…
i just shipped a diesel motor out of a bus which is alot bigger than a bike motor, crated here it cost 350.00 to ship to SD, using uship.com
good idea
wrap it in a moving blanket and ratchet strap it to a heavy duty pallet and build a 2x4 crate over the top and staple some cardboard around the cube you’ve built. two people could lift and pitch it into a truck no problem so no loading dock is needed. well… Fred, you’re huge, you could huck it like a news paper boy so that’s a non issue.
haha good point , that part im not worried about…
now at least i know how much$$ were talking to ship this out if it happens
I’ve also heard of packaging up motors in cushioned rubbermaid containers.
