anyone have a sample resume?

mine sucks

flow-chart!!! :kekegay:

It stands out!!!

when i did mine i went on google images typed in resume and picked one i really like then modeled mine off it, when i got hired at fuji one of the comments was “had a really good resume”

templates tend to stand out when you type in your own information.

i made my own templates, so it’s original from the start. as for hannibal, he didn’t need something too involved so the word templates are good enough. my man was using wordpad with no editing tools or spell check!!!

my resume stands out… i worked for 3 years and had a 2 pager and got hired… so i don’t know. i have two resume’s a traditional and a detailed.

i didnt’ do a template i did a one-off of one on some resume site

side note: hannibal, if you work in monaca you’re right across the bridge from me…

I did up a resume last week, I’ve only had 3 jobs so it looked pretty bare…

i think people are misuing the word ‘template’… and i guess it could be me… i’m not talking about a step by step “enter your name:” type thing… i’m more talking frames (like websites) with formatted cells… like whre you type the business it’s 11 pt and italic and where you type the duration it’s in date format 12 pt and bold…

know what i’m sayin? i just created the layout and expand it with new jobs.

i used the microsoft initial schema… but mine is all goofy now, i have never had a complaint

oh yeah i do that

who gives a fuck anyway… a resume doesn’t get you a job… the interview does.

resume gets the interview

i just explained how i got an interview without even presenting a resume in the on-topic forum.

and i explained how i got a job because i got an interview based on my resume :gives: i wouldnt’ go spreading that a resume isnt’ needed to people looking at entering the “real world” based on a one time experience you had

knowing people gets you the job
resume just gives the interviewer some questions to ask you
interview just lets the interviewer know if you will fit in with the other workers

based on my experience.

This is pretty much right. Knowing people is HUGE this is the #1 way employers like to fill positions. My past 3 professional jobs were all obtained by my resume/interview. I knew no-one

because during the interview you had a low cut top on, in that case it doesn’t matter who/what you know. :D:D:D

what are you talking about?

i’ve been in the ‘real world’ since i was 17… please STFU

my point is that everyone’s situation is different. if you think the resume is whats gets the job, then you can enter the ‘real world’ whenever you please

/conversation.

my point was dont’ go around thinking you don’t need a good resume cuz that’s not the case in most situations, the way you said it it’s like “resumes don’t matter anymore” when they stil do

really? if you know someone your resume could look like shit for all they care… your resume would have been verbaly regurgetated by the person you know way before you hand them your actual resume. so all they get is a piece of paper co they can call you back for an interview… my last like 2 years of jobs have been had by someone i knew getting me in the door.
