anyone that assumes a resume is inconsequential isn’t really thinking too hard. out of the main ‘parts’ of the new job hiring process, least impact is based on a resume… this is my point.
interview > knowing someone > resume

im with Sonny on this one. The resume is like the ticket to the show. It lets your interviewer know that you are capable of doing the work. The interview is SOOOOO much more important than a resume. Nobody really gives a fuck about a piece of paper. YOu dont have to work with a piece of paper day in and day out for years, you work with the person. The only situation where it might really come into play is
a. a situation where it comes down to a handful of people and it can go either way, and one has a better resume
b. a situation where there is a shitload of people that want interviews so they go through resumes to narrow down the field of prospectives.
I wouldnt necesarily go so far as to say that you could get by without one, because you’ll most likely look like an incompetent retard if you apply for any real job without one, but I wouldnt stress over it too much.
