Is that the white barcode on tires?
idk about car tires but the trailer tires all had different numbers on them (even the pair included in a trailer kit had completely different numbers) they could just be batch numbers as jse said but the information we had always got sent into the state and those numbers were registered to the purchaser, the $2.50 fee was a tire reg fee even though the state calls it a waste tire management fee, (which im guessing they came up with because it sounds better than the “fuck you. welcome to ny. give us more money fee”) the numbers were on both the tire and the box they were in…it may just be batch numbers but that would also indicate nys isnt registering any tire info and just uses tire sales as a way to get more revenue.
What part of this surprises you lol
We are 2.50 a tire !!!
2.00 for car tires a lil bit more for truck tires
at tonys tires and wheels ask for alex
4 bells ln waterford ny 12188
sadly the only part that surprises me is that typing that today was the first time i had ever come to that realization
It’s kinda like how we have a system set up for reg’s at DMV where if the cashier thinks you’re lying on the price you paid they can flag it for audit. What the cashier doesn’t know is that the system isn’t linked to tax & finance yet (prolly won’t ever be either) so tax & finance doesn’t see the flag lol. Shhh don’t tell the offices that though lol.
What size? I can use most 15" truck tires as long as cord isn’t showing
Just dump them on state land lol jk
I’m always down for an old fashioned tire fire!
Rightnow it looks like ten tires. all small ones 16" and 14" sizes.
I only want wheels, no tires.
Yet another reason to buy tires online, dont pay tax and dont pay the bullshit NYS fees. Usually cheaper than buying locally too.
I forgot about having to sign my life away to buy one lousy fucking spare tire for a trailer there.
