exactly, by them NOT letting you know ahead of time that should fall sorely on them to have to fix it for you. they didn’t do their job and are looking for an easy way out
technically if it was prior damage they dont owe him anything, but what they did does not prove them to be a reputable shop in my opinion. if that car was brought to my shop, the first thing i would do is have the ins.co. come and inspect it, if they said ok to fixing it too then great. if not i woulda contacted the customer and natified him of the problem and recc. to fix it now, i couldnt let a car go like that without proof and making it know to the customer-whether they wanted it fixed or not. gotta cover your ass and be professional.
well yea, exactly. by not covering their own ass, it makes them look like they are just being lazy about fixing it. i know for a fact that whenever i touch a car at work if somthing isn’t the way it should be i’ll make a point to tell the customer just so that somthing i didn’t do can’t come back on me later
