Does anyone here run a web page with this from XP? I can’t get this to work and I’m running out of ideas.
Install, make sure the service is running then configure.
The readme should explain it pretty well. After you do it once it becomes easy lol
most ISP’s block port 80
Like cablevision.
I called them up, asked if I can have port 80 open they told me no becouse if there subscribers run servers it takes up too much of there bandwith. gets me wondering what i’m paying for lol
eh… I found out that its against the terms of service apparentally to run a web server. And yes they block port 80… and it seems like alot more than that too. I’ve tried just about everything. So much for running my own little web page locally…
Change your settings to use a different port. If you have a host name, usually the host provider has a means to redirect all traffic from port 80 to a different port.
Umm, I already tried running of of different ports. Doesn’t work. :gotme:
Are you using a router? If so you won’t be able to access the webpage using your WAN IP address, only your local IP address (127.0.0.1, 192.168.x.x). Someone outside of your network would be able to access it with port forwarding enabled.
Well said, also check firewall settings for outside the network.
