Attention All Mechanic GURU's Dodge durango need help now !!!!!

Ok thanks in advance for any info. I have a 5.2 v8 durango. I replaced the coil. so far no luck. Problem i have is the car starts and runs great. After bout 15 minutes it will sputter like its running out of gas or spark then shut off. If you restart it it acts like it has no gas. If you let it sit it usually starts but u gotta give it gas for a little. Then it will run fine for bout 15 minutes again then do the same thing. All freaking day. Tomorrow im going to run a fuel gauge out thru the hood so i can look at it while driving but infront of my house i had it running for 30 minutes didnt stutter or anything. fuel was i think 40-50psi or maybe 50 -60 steady the whole time no drops

update. I was under the durango and noticed the cat was removed, front o2 was disconnected and the rear was plugged in. could this be why ??

that could be why. id put the cat back in aloing with the o2 sensors and i think that should fix your problem. sense its not reading anything from the o2s it amy cause it to run like that

im going to plug the front one in and space the rear up with spacers. i dont feel like installing a cat lol see if it fix’s it. Thanks

Make sure they aren’t BOSCH 02’s. Dodge’s and bosch do not play well at all.

i dont think not having a cat would do that, none of my cars have had cats, including a few dakotas i’ve owned, also, the rear O2 sensor was deleted on 2 of them and it did nothing, the cars didnt run any different, also all my dodges have bosch O2 sensors when they were replaced, those are fine too

ok, update happened again. I put a fuel test gauge on it after it stalled and as it sputters there is no change in fuel psi its like beetween 40-50psi whole time. so im guessing its spark. Its gotta be something with heat it happens when it heats up. i replaced coil . ive read sometimes the computer gets too hot and shuts down and i noticed its burning up. Im going to relocate it and if that doesnt work im going to change the crank sensor . Any other suggestions ???

oh and by the way both 02 sensors were unpluged front and rear. should i put front in??

sounds almost exactly what was happening to my s10 my problem was the ignition control module. give that a look

you should them both in if you can why wouldnt you

ok both plugs in, i put the pcm in the air box lol to make sure it wasnt over heating alot of durango forums said its a cause of it. Mofo’s still doin it. check engine light comes on for o2 sensor but it does it before the light even shows up. i know its on cause of cat being deleted. so what else could this problem be im really pissed … on the highway it stuttered so i butterflied the throttle a little and after a little it stopped and i made it home but on the way thru corey it started again i set it in park real fast and it cleared up. Fuel pressure is fine
