True dat, Quik. Welcome the ladies to the top tier of sportbikes in the burgh. LOL, j/k.

ya but,why do we need them,we have QUIK!:bigthumb:

Actually, new 600’s are not to be considered 1st bikes anymore since they are equilvant to superbikes 10 years ago.

Here’s some facts for you and to prove that 600’s are no joke.
Acceleration Comparisons: 2006 1000cc superbikes vs. 600cc supersports

moped!!!

actually, I agree with Spicoli.

The formula I came up with for cruisers and standards was:

Under 30 years of age:

weight_of_new_rider * 2 * ( 20 + age_of_new_rider ) / 25

over 30 years of age:

4*weight_of_new_rider
or 1000cc, which ever is lower

that way, a new rider

100lbs and 25 years old = 360cc -> 400 cc bike or so
180lbs and 20 years old = 576cc -> 600 cc bike or so
300lbs and 30 years old = 1000cc -> 1000 cc bike or so

These numbers apply only to those that passed the MSF class , IMO.

Did you make up those calcs, or find them somewhere? It seems like a good idea for personal safety, but people will always go above and beyond. I mean I’m 25, ~150lbs, (completed MSF), and I ride an 05 600 F4i, so as “conservative” as I am, I’m even outside those calcs.

I generated the calculations. Math is what my degree from college is in, so I try to use it from time to time :slight_smile:
