Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Seriously.
Srsly, don’t get me wrong I love my Jetta when it’s running 100% but 99.9% of the time it’s broken.
It’s a sad fact that the best mod you can get ur vag product is a vag-com scanner.
i havent had a problem with my current vag 4.2 v8 or 1.9 tdi…
maybe its just your choice of the 1.8 hand of god. i have never owned one…as a matter of fact im on my like 16th vag car and still dont own a vag-com
DUDE SERIOUSLY STFU!!!
No girl is gonna make you a sandwhich when you drive a pos smiling grand am thats worth $50 and a tuned 225tt is no slouch your looking a high 13sec car which is plenty for a dd imo… Hell your grand am would need what a 200shot of nitrous to run that?
I like the tt, but it does kinda have that “cute” factor… Why not just go with the bad boy S4?

I will say it again, I still haven’t had a single issue with my VW. Maybe because it was manufactured in germany instead of mexico like most jetta’s?
I am kind of curious as to what the difference in mechanical issues is between the two countries output.
Back on topic, I like the looks of the TT but have never driven one. Honestly, if you like it get it, dont listen to what everyone else thinks. The general dislike for them is probably why they are pretty cheap used, works in your favor.
it might be because you bought a used one that was modded already?? the previous owner obviously didnt know what he was doing when modding that and probably beat the shit out of it and thats why your having problems…but on topic i would also suggest that if you like something buy it dont listen to the majority to make a decision for yourself
isn’t that why he asked?
I have owned 3 VAG cars now and never a major problem. If you want to stay away from turbos go with what Dawn said and look for the 3.2. Most people that tell you to stay away have no experience with vw/audi’s and are just going by what they have heard
because they’re biased and dont want to admit theyre 'tards for owning that garbage. everyone that has somethign that sucks says “its not THAT bad”
I’ll admit part of my problem was in fact buying a “modded” used VW, but at the same look at VWVortex and read up on the known issues of each make and model, it gets ridiculous.
Point in hand, I’ve replaced my coolant temp sensor 4 times since june, VW makes some garbage parts for sure.
Plus side though, I love how my car handles and the comfort level of the interior is very nice.
…a repair facility
exactly, I don’t want to admit it so I keep buying them!
meh my audi is pushing 160k and i DO keep on the maintenance but it has never once left me stranded… The wheel bearings are my only complaint and thats nothing to lose sleep over
