I am in the finishing touches of doing an auto to manual swap on my 90 240sx and found the shift control unit behind the ecu. Should I leave this and other auto switches (shift lock, etc.) disconnected, as I am using the ecu from the 5 spd. Will it make a difference? Also what is the best way to remove the auto tranny harness and install the manual one? Do I need to?
The swaps I have found info on seem to omit some crucial steps. Thanks
