Though i probably will never get a chance to drive on it, I still think it would suck if they put a speed limit on it.
it wont happen, germany LOVES the audoban…
and for “climate control puposes” thats bogus, germany is one of THE cleanest countries in the world, the amount of shit that goes into the air from these cars is negliable and wont make ANY difference
also, i love how they claim carbon DIOXIDE pollution, cuz while Co2 is the major product of combustion, it is NOT a pollutant (if it was, wed all have to hold our breat so al gore can sleep at night in his electricity gulping house)
eh, sounds just like they are bored and cant think of any other way to make life more standardized
yeah the reason ‘to fight global warming’ is such BS, its from the same group of pansy asses that want to ban boo-ing at high school sports
Did anyone see that lady from PETA on TV the other day?
She said that Al Gore is contributing to global warming by eating meat.
These enviornmental wackos are getting funnier everyday.
Here is an idea to sell more hybrids, etc: No speed limit for people that drive hybrids. :gotme:
Will never happen. Germany already told the EU to stuff it about the speed limits.
Some stupid enviornmentalists over there were trying to get the speed limit introduced. Claimed it would be safer. Germany did a study on safety on the autobah, showed it would not help. Then they pulled the emissions crap, they did another study, showed it might increase by 3% but would more than likely increase congestion. to Germany for having the balls to say no.

co2 is a harmful gas when produced in excess, aka millions of cars on the road. reducing co2 emissions in cars would be a diffinate good thing.

agreed, in HUGE amounts co2 is not great, BUT in the amount a car produces going 70 vs 120, its insignificant
There already are only a few sections of the Autobahn that are unlimited. Also if you’ve ever really driven there you realize that 75% of the time traffic won’t allow you to drive fast anyway.
X…
also, going along with what viper said, if your going 120 you are producing more pollutants yes, but you are also getting to your destination faster, making the increase fairly negligible
Most of the autobahn already has speed limits.
