WTH, N2 got tickets even though they were out that day, but N1 got the shaft?
Not one of us got tickets. Oh well.
yea, my dads on night 1 and they were told after they left work that tickets were available in the lobby and to contact whoever it was if they needed tickets. well those who contacted her never head another word from her
N2 specifically didn’t get tickets, as a matter a fact I was the only N2 guy there. I went in expecting nothing more than watching the mess of cops and security.
Early in the morning email went out they leftover tickets would be first come first serve in the rotanda. Went there early, got in line and got a ticket.
Rainman, litho tools are quite awesome indeed, EUV that you mention is a fun $50+ million dollar toy that is slower than dirt but has potential. Can’t wait for the new one.
Same here, I was ready to just leave, no work I could have actually done, heard they were giving out more tickets, went down, saw a huge line but a huge stack of tickets, figured I’d take part in something historic.
During the shutdown this one professor held a class introducing you to how a fab works, my boss had me take that, learned a LOT in two days. And yea EUV has terrible throughput, but, like anything, someone will make it work. Or another type of litho will break through further. Or something totally different. I feel like at SOME point, you just can’t get any smaller! The one engineer saw a CBS news report about CNSE last week and the reporter said that we work on “subatomic particles” LMAO hey I guess if we get there then that would be the limit eh?
