Ahahahaha

True story. :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

:rofl

Yeah looks like I’m finding another way home from work lol it took me over an hour on Friday. But I think there was an accident near the 24 tolls.

it was slow as fuck until around the Old State road underpass and then nothing. No idea what the deal was there.

Tomorrow’s drive to work might be interesting since I go in at 10 and go up the northway.

found out my dad has to leave work early(works at nanotech) so the dogs can sniff out the fabs for bombs, and my mom(also works there) is going to be there for Obama and has to be there by 6am, even though the speech isnt until after noon.

cool story bro.

^^^ smart parents :lol

if it wasn’t the last day of class i’d be skipping my last class today to try and avoid all the road closures.

Obama gives speech on boosting economy.
Makes everyone an hour late for work.

Let me help you with that.

:lol

holy shit everything is locked down

Perfect :rofl

Scumbag Obama lololol

Police/Troopers everywhere. There are 8 police cars in this picture with a group of trooper walking to the building.

I’m due for an upgraded phone with a better camera I think.

Vlad, did they cavity search you before they let you in? :rofl:crackup

Surprisingly, the actual security to get into the event seemed lacking.

While building and the area were rigorously searched for days before and there were people everywhere going into the “hall” was about as tough and airport security and we know how well those work out in terms of actually preventing dangerous material.

Most amusing part however which I didn’t get to snap a picture off is politicians/important figures in the front row taking pictures of the event/president/speakers with an iPad…

You work for CNSE or a tenant? I’m an engineering tech for CNSE, I sat over to the right, I was pissed that the sound system was weak. Obama projects his voice nicely, but everyone else I couldn’t hear a thing. Especially from Dr. K, and I always want to hear what he has to say. Always entertaining.

You’re right too, security was less than I expected. Though the covering of the windows near the NFN Sematech gowning where I go in every day was pretty serious, as were the remarks given to me and the engineer I support. Monday we were troubleshooting our tool as usual, and we were told by someone from facilities/safety/whatever to be sure any cabinets of any kind for our stuff were unlocked. The bomb-sniffing dogs would be through the north fab and if they picked up anything, those cabinets would be promptly forced open.

I heard the Secret Service agents and those dogs, especially, would not be gowning up to enter the clean room. I believe that because in the gowning room today by the one garbage can was a small pile of dog hair LOL.

I’m on CNSE side, N2 Litho WSO.

I got to sit right up front so sound wasn’t an issue at all, but from what I’ve heard from other people sitting on the side is what you said, terrible sound and lack of hearing. I’d be upset too. At least you can watch the speech from the news recordings to get the effect.

Dr. K was the funniest one out of the set, he is usually good with the puns.

Yeah, rofl at dogs running around in the fab. Running joke is metro has to add a new particle classification - dog hair.

Very neat experience overall, something to check off the bucket list.

Ahh well I prolly won’t run into ya. :frowning: Ha. Litho tools are nuts I’m totally green to the manufacturing process, I graduated with a degree in I guess playing with breadboards LOL but I am astounded at the sheer size of the one in NFN. Still cannot believe the place is 10 minutes from me and I work amongst this shit.

I am so jealous of the on-site EVG guy for our wafer bonder. His office is literally right in front of the King’s parking spot lol. I can’t wait for consistently nice weather so he’ll bring that Ferrari every day. I heard him tear outta there once, that’s it. Thought it was a bike. Glad I’m not the only asshole there with an obscenely loud car!

Buncha nerds up in this shizzle :rofl
