i dont know if anybody has ever done this…but how hard would it be to make a 240sx awd with a rb26dett…use like r32 front suspension parts…just an idea…wonder if it would work
RWD>AWD>FWD…
I don’t know man… For the price you pay to convert your 240SX to AWD, just buy a Skyline… It just isn’t practical…
If you’re trying to get into a magazine, or gain attention or something, for sure, go for it! Otherwise, if its just for personal pleasure, just buy Full-Race’s R14: http://www.full-race.com/r14/
But hey, if you’ve got the money, no one is stopping you. All I can tell you is that its ridiculously hard work. You’d need to modify the transmission tunnel to fit the AWD transmission, as well as pretty much the front end (possibly frame rails) to fit the suspension and center driveshaft…
Go for it, dude! Just like my plans w/ a KA24ET powered R32…
i would definately ber interested to see if somebody had done it…it would be a lot of work…but i think it would still be fairly lighter than a skyline…
It has been done i have a magazine with the car as the main feature. Its a sport compact magazine.
nice…im gonna look at that
im pretty sure a guy in montreal did it to his s14 and he call it an r14
m wolfenden… i have the magazine with the 20 page feature on it lmao… 10 bucks. haha jk… maybe a trade for a few parts ;p
full race
cool project idea and lots of experience to be had but if you’re looking to get results out of it on the track…i wish you the best of luck. trying to modify chassis’s for drivetrains they weren’t designed for calls for a shitload of $$ and time. i honestly think having access to a cmm would be the biggest help for you if you’re going to go through with this type of project. best of luck to you and yeah the r14 is probably your best source of info from what i’ve seen.
