Few Questions
-Rb26 all wheel drive conversion i have only seen one company do it. But how difficult is it? Do i need to cut my chassis to fit the axes would love to talk to someone how has done a rb26 swap for some tips.
Custom fab is no problem Plasma table at work with a 300ton press 10 foot rolls and mig tig welders at free use got to love sheet metal somedays.
I will update as i need This weekend am going to be out of town may 24 drinks up but i will get back to yah all on Monday pick up for parts will be on friday i work a half day ohh and payin cash come on deals Message for cell
^Now I’m not trying to offend, but if you have to ask how difficult it would be to do an AWD RB26DETT swap in a RWD chassis. You probably shouldn’t be attempting it and you probably couldn’t do it on your own. You might have all the tools for all the costom fab but can you use them properly?
And there has been more than one company do it. However, Full-Race was the only company to do it right. Everyone else who did it just cut and hacked away.
You’ll end up running into so many unforseen problems (that you wouldn’t even be abl to imagine) that you’d wonder why you attempted it in the first place.
Ontop of that. Anything more than 500hp at the wheels is plenty.
If you have any questions regarding fabrication, don’t hesitate to PM me. I have “some” knowledge.
I complety understand its a major fab project i just wanted to know how much and the skill i have build alot more complicated things at work i just want to talk with someone who has attempted it.
So far what i have read on the net witch is alot of bullshit with some good info
fit the front of a r32 on my car
cross brace
Strut tops for the suspension
custom axes/ drive shaft
-Wiring Adapting
-Custom Exhaust
-And a hell of a lot of little thing but am not to worried starting from bear bones so i will fit all the lines flitting wires around the engine
lots of measuring and checking but really this isn’t going to be a space ship. I don’t really think its as difficult as people think. Just most people done have skill i work in a shop all day in and out making everything from flat stock. Metal a true wonder just takes time and preparation key to victory said a old man.
60k because you want 500-800 whp. chassis work is expensive…but your going to attempt it? Best of luck bro.
Yet honestly. You want awd. Just get the actual car. Strip it down to bare necessities. Tune, more boost, fuel, cage, etc etc etc. Cost the same…maybe, but waaaaaaaaaay easier. The odds of it being done also double too.
Ya, the amount of people with crazy mod plans equals the same amount who wanna drift but never get to it. You may have the skills, credentials, and most important is the money but until you get some local rep this is just another typical…
240sx + JDM(Silvia/S15 front end) + turbo engine + more mods = dream
Don’t get me wrong I’m not trying to be a jackass but there must be atleast 100 threads about an S14.5 with a custom turbo engine and what not, gets old. Good luck on the build though, car looks pretty clean!
Ka-t is out sitting on a engine stand needs a rebuild motor / turbo for now no plans with it i will see how many parts i got left over after the conversion. Might make a ka-t s13 for drift or what ever comes to me then.
60k if yah got no tools or ability. i was thinking around 30-35g for the project complete.
But we will see i would like to get some quotes for the wheels and coils and the front end thanks or a place to go and buy the parts.
