Driving tests have shown the Mirage is only marginally faster than a stock CGT(extracted ~68hp over stock form, dropping 60ft by .1sec) but has added benefits of better brakes over the stock PCCB’s, better cooling, better sound(quite an achievement if you ask me). Even Uwe Gemballa stated it was most difficult improving on such a perfect car.
If Uwe an his team ever release that functioning biturbo system they were developing THEN the car would be digusting.
BTW…Porsche now claims the fastest road car …Again…I give you the 9ff GT9. Extensively modified doesn’t even begin to describe it:
987 horsepower, 4.0L custom built boxer six pushes this car to a verfied 254mph. Weighs in at 2923lbs and beats the previous record holder(veyron) from 100-200mph by 2.5seconds. It loses the 0-60 sprint to the Veyron as the GT9 just cannot put all the power down to wheels without breaking them free. NO PASM, No traction control, no ABS. Just balls out power in a balls out chassis.
Not long ago 9ff managed to modify a propel a stock 996 based 911(the 9f-V400) to an averaged 242MPH at Nardo. Wasn’t surprising Jan would cook up something like this.
