just curious who on here has been to and run laps at this track…
i was going through one of those buffalo coupon books that you buy for $15 and get like $250 worth of shit in, and 4 of them are for 10 free laps there with purchase of 10 laps on the same day…
i’ve been wanting to get some track time in…a lot of track time actually, to begin to legally get a feel for my car’s limits, and just for experience/fun…
is it a decent track? how long is it? how long did it take you to get around and in what car?
if i like it, i might end up using all 4 coupons, then the 4 in my mom’s book as well…can’t beat free shit
They have two self supporting go-karting leagues there.
One you arravie and drive 7hp Briggs. ~$300 memebership ~$30 a race
The other you purchase a 15hp Briggs World Forumla. ~$3500 kart ~$30 a race
Can’t remember the exact pricing.
Plus they have other leagues with non ‘spec’ karts, shifters, yadda yadda.
Don’t get me wrong Karting is a great sport to get into.
Its one of the scca events that everyone goes to, they have like 150 cars sign up for that. I missed it last year because i was at STPR and STPR is > autox.
I ran the pca event a few years back, fun as hell. Can’t wait to do it again this summer. It is a go-kart track, not very long, but still more fun than a normal auto-x.
Even then, pushing the limits there is not the best idea. Just ask the people who have hit the wall… (Three of you are on here, not sure on the fourth)
I loved it, and i beat the crap out of my subaru there…i hit 3rd gear on “the straight-away” and then hit the brakes as hard as i could…but i have seen a high end BMW 3 series ramp, grind and bounce off of the steel gurder at the top of “the straight-away”…
…anyway, its fun as hell, and kind of like driving on a real track, except you may only hit 3rd gear and you wont be lapped by a RUF.
