Because I love antiquated & overkill technology.

If only it didn’t require me to have a dedicated 220v outlet. :frowning:

a ram drive. cool.

More on the topic of old crap I just made the mistake of accidently wasting $2 on what could easily be considered the worst Mac in history. The Performa 6200 series.

Seriously 64-bit CPU on a 32-bit Bus, wtf. Worst idea ever.

You can prolly play some hard core Oregon Trail games

I owned a Centris 610 once. It was a badass 20MHz computer.

Yeah the 68040 macs are fun to toy with I have a Quadra 700. With none other than Oregon Trail, and A-10 Attack! on it.

A-10 Attack was one of the coolest mac games. You should find Marathon. I remember when it came out it was one of the first games with “3d” sound, and the ability to wield double shotguns with independent triggers.

hahah, my dad not only knew what that was, but from the model number called the size exactly

I have it on there, but I didn’t have enough memory and it ran like shit. However I lucked out with the new one. May be a shit computer but it happened to have 64MB of RAM in it not sure if I want to use it yet, I’ll have to toy with it some tonight depending on the performance compared to the Quadra. Not sure which one I’ll sell off yet. Just got OS 8.0 on it, and not needing an external drive is nice.

Also have you ever tried the multiplayer in the sequel A-10 Cuba! for Windows. It’s fucking amazing has some of the most bizarre maps I’ve seen in a flight sim. Such as Asteroid air bases in low gravity, and Runways on these huge 5000ft towers.

thats for servers, that wouldnt be useful at all in a desktop pc, plus you need a fabric switch unless your using cluster servers

Actually it’s more for I just want it so I can say I have one like a lot of old PC stuff I have. I’m well aware of the fact it would be completely useless for any application that I would toss at it. Plus I’m not going to run a 220 outlet for it, or purchase a step-transformer for it.
