beer

Can someone tell me how much a Barrel of beer costs?

How many barrels for 50 people?

all depends on how big of drinkers they are. if they’re boozers, might need 2. otherwise, 1 would probably be enough

they still sell beer in barrels??? Last I checked we called them Kegs

A “1/2 keg” for 50 people? Plenty, if there’s moderation.

I’d buy a 1/2 keg for 50 of my friends  (1/2 keg is what they have in bars, 1/4 keg is the wee little keg)

i have no clue on price b/c i haven’t bought a keg in like forever…

The one guy I worked with had a party a month ago and got a thing called a beer wagon with 30 taps in it …

Anyone remember the coors light beer balls? those were cool!!!

I believe that was called a “Coors Light Party Ball”?

1/2 bbl is about 60 bucks for decent quality beer, iirc.

party balls only come in buttwiper now

:puke:

This is in reference to the Pittspeed Winter Holiday Party… I would call that heavy drinking…

maybe get a 1/2 keg and a 1/4 keg for backup?

We used to have parties of about 150, went through 3 - 1/2 barrels and a party ball. Heck, at my last job we had an employee picnic where my boss and I kicked a 1/2 barrel ourselves (maybe I shouldn’ve driven home that day)

For 50 people I’d recommend 2 - 1/2 barrels.

I was thinking 4 barrels (1/2 keg) foir 150 people…

Sound right?

I’m a little concerned that is a bit much as I know there are others who will bring a bottle of their own to drink
Like Rum or something

Does this sound accurate to anyone?

Depending on our budget…maybe a bit much considering not everyone drinks or will be drinking to get shitfaced, also byo liquor will cut back on the need for beer.

newchic… did you check the prices for those??? I think that amount you listed above would satisfy the crowd for sure, if the turnout is that large.

haha thats awsome. I heart Google.

I’m gathering it will be in teh neighborhood of $60 per barrel… including a $20 deposit for each… which will be refunded after they are returned…

So for 4 barrels… we are looking at an end cost of 160

WE are not buying liquor… We will supply pop to mix it with… Anyone who wants a bottle can bring their own… make sense? or is that just a shitty thing to do?

Also,
I’m going to be checking prices on everything… hopefully early Saturday… so I plan on making the official thread with what the plan is as well as how much to charge and all that crap by end of day Sunday. That should give everyone 3 weeks to respond and one week for us to gather everything needed.
