Big Reds other red car MK2 content

Im goin to relocate it to the rain tray where the stock ecu would be, but because its a vr the ecu is on the other side. Plus it will be hidden under the rain tray cover, time to go hit up some junk yards

Pictures from yesterdays BBQ

remember, i had one.

did you do any engine bay shaving on it or no?

nope. i was too busy driving it all the time. i didnt have a washer bottle, that was it.

interesting, because this car is my daily it has to maintain function, but some form is cool too.

shaved bays FTW

i literally was to busy driving it.26k miles in the 8 months i owned it… i had 2 other cars at the time as well but the VR6 was my favorite to drive

Why did you paint it?!?!?! :headbang

polished parts require too much upkeep for my daily. it was almost impossible to keep it looking halfway decent.

:+1 :headbang :headbang :headbang :headbang

Updated pics of my newly painted intake and valve cover, excuse the dirt, its raining out. :headbang

still on the to do
-paint/remove seam sealer from pass side inner fender
-so something with coolant overflow bottle/line
-shave my plug wire holders/run the wires under the intake
-make a custom more stealth intake tube
-order the cover for the coolant temp sensors/ t-stat housing
-relocate vacuum line current over brake booster

Looks good.
You should do the knurled aluminum look though :excited

wow that looks really good :wow

authentic or did you have someone make a cover plate for that manifold? also its time for a overflow bottle delete. get a filler neck and a sneaky moroso overflow bottle and tuck it away

He painted it himself…he’s on a budget!

god damn dave :eek

i know that, im talking about the actual manifold.

I thought about deleting the overflow, However, the hydraulic clutch line and the main harness comes through right there, so if i ditched it, that would stick right out.I am prolly gonna get a small can type one like the bynum guys did and mount it there. That way it’ll still hide the wires and stuff but it will look sleeker. DO I need that small line that goes from the heater hose to the top radiator hose or can I cap that off?, that’ll clean it up a bit. And I plan on adding a fill cap on the top hose.

This is the bottle I was looking at
