well had a large set back today. last week after I told the bodyshop NOT to let the car get wet (leaving it in the rain). the car did get wet. It may not sound like a big deal but once the rust starts especially in this stage of body work it can ruin everything. Now there is rust starting all over the car, roof, floor pans, all of the electronics and ECU got wet. when I dropped by today I found that the car was once again outside when it was starting to rain, and to top it off the owner of the bodyshop managed to run over my side skirt, destroying it. After talking to him to find out how he planne don fixing the situation he then proceeded to tell me my car was cobbed and he wasnt making enough money on the project and so on. SO I towed the car home as fast as possible. I already ordered another $450 set of side skirts so I have them, if he refuses to pay for the new set ill be taking legal action.

The guy was acting like a total ass at the bodyshop. I don’t think he expected you to have it picked up that fast.
Back to square 1. Learn to paint yourself!

that sucks man, sorry to hear abou it srsly…all he hadda do was say “hey man im not gonna be able to paint your car for another couple days and i dont have sufficient storage space here, so how about you keep the car untill im ready” least then you would have had a chance to do other things to it. legal action seems like the only fair thing to do

welcome to the world of paying people to do work for you. NEVER once have I had a good experience. This is why I do everything myself. Good luck man, it’s gotta be super frustrating, especially when he was being such a dickhead. I really believe it’s easier and better to knock people the fuck out when they dick you over. You will not win in court, so don’t bother.

its a good thing though, because having these bad experiences will always make me remember why i treat my customers the way i do. I don’t want any of that shit to ever be said about me. I treat every car better than i do my own.

Sorry to hear that dave. This is the dilema I’ve been having with my car. I fucking hate body shops and body shops hate custom/high detail work. I just don’t trust anyone. And no matter how much you pay its never as good as you would have hoped
Damn dude… that really sucks, I would be superrrr pissed. Seems tough to find people who run a business the way it should be ran.
