swwwweeettt…congrats on getting the Rustang going again
Hey NP…glad to help.
HOWEVER…after pondering things for a while, the problem I was having locating TDC (difficulty feeling compression in #1) leads me to believe…
I know you won’t wanna hear this…but…
IMO - blown head gasket.
Hope not…we’ll see when ya fire it up.
If need be, I have a compression gauge.
We can check your compression and then we’ll know for sure.
we compression tested first. seemed to be fine. we’ll see i guess
nice
it’s awesome seeing members help other members
that its not a head gasket
awwww…
old>young punks
pewt how old are you again?
unless you guys put them back in, the spark plugs are out.
yeah i put them back
then 7 of them have probably fallen out because you put them in wrong… in which case… see post #11.
As of 3pm it was not running yet. Any updates Chad?
idles. still have something making noise in the back of the motor it sounds. quik and i pulled the driver cover again and re-tightened the rockers and im gonna change the oil tomorrow with 20w-50 and see if it takes care of it. may be down for the season though
that sucks bud
I heard it idle briefly. Sounded a little sick.
really sick…
Was that shaving in the oil a piece of a bearing?
