Biker bois in here. Where to go for insurance?

When i bought my gix new in 02 i used to have my insurance through state farm. paid 600 a year full coverage with no riding experience. Been getting quotes for a gix 1k and R1 and all these freakin quotes are ridiculous. Where do you guys get your insurance at? Im 26, have a clean record, rode for 2 summers, and im still getting 4-5k quotes. WTF. Any recommendations would be appreciated mmkay?

for what its worth, i pay undr $300/ year but my bike is also 19 yrs old. I have GMAC through Blatchley ins. in WS.

Look them up in the yellow pages, but there is an insurance company in Northtown Plaza near the old DMV office, that gets really cheap bike insurance quotes. You could also try GPA Insurance, they are pretty good too.

You know, since you are now a war veteran, you should look into insurance from one of the military perk places or something, I forget the name now, but I’m sure they could hook you up.

Thanks guys, good idea Rick. I forget what its called too but i know theres some military one i can still check out. I better get on my horse, I wanna be riding by monday

I love this site.

I pay $260 a year for an 01 r6 and 2 pts on my license

pay under $500 w/full coverage on my liter bike through progressive.

I kind of want to buy a bike as a graduation present to myself, but I don’t know. Insurance would ownz me :frowning:

edit: I want a ZUMA

i go through allstate

19yo, 10 points, 17yo ninja 600R, cost me 600 for the year.

ive been scouting new quotes for a 2000-2002 600 rocket as well, and allstate was still the cheapest for me, by alot actually.

novacasualty.com for liability only you should be under 200 a year…

i pay 460$ a year full coverage on my 04r6 with 2pts.

talk to bonger on here he went through the military insurance when he bought his bike brand new. hes got points on his license and @ the time he was only like 19 or 20 and he was paying 400$ something full coverage

thanks again guys, my options are somewhat more limited since its looking like im gonna end up in a liter bike. alot of companies are scared to insure em :lolsign:

Ask for Bernie Jr. Tell him Butch sent you, he is a friend of mine.

State farm $179 a yr Full Cov. for a 06 cbr600rr. Age 30 with clean record and 14 yrs exp.

State Farm was the best deal. Even switched my car to them. Progressive and gieco wanted $1000 plus for less cov.

Steve

Yeah i cant do state farm since i dont have my car insurance through them anymore.

Butch, thanks you thank you thank you!!! I will give those guys a call and see what they can do!
