i did a sr swap everything was good, yesterday i was driving to the beer store, and i lostevery thing that was powered in my car (windows,headlight motors,tail lights, cluster, horn) but my headlights still turn on. now i looked at the alt fuse and its cooked…my car still starts everytime just no power.
i had a thick peice of wire and i tried to jump it to check and it pretty much soldiers the wire and it goes red hot so i canned that idea. now does anyone know what else couldbe the problem? all my motor grounds are ok i belive.
even with the key off and out there is still power to the alt fuse the 75 amp or whatever one in the engine bay…
do not drive your car, as it is running just off your battery. once it dies, your car dies. just replace it with another one and see if it blows. you can go to a junk yard and just take them off of nissan cars.
also check if your terminals are connected right. last owner of my car blew mine cause he reversed the +/- while boosting the car. soo i suppose that if your alt is connected back wards it will blow a fuse?
